The Jackson County Post Overdose Response Team was established in 2023 as an initiative of the Overdose Fatality and Suicide Review Committee

Our Mission: Supporting Recovery

Jackson County PORT is a Post Overdose Response Team using collaboration between the Criminal Justice System, Treatment Providers, Peer Support Specialists, and Like-Minded Organizational Partners to eliminate barriers to treatment and reduce the stigma surrounding addiction.

What We Do

FOLLOW-UP

Provide follow-up within 3-5 days after the initial overdose incident or referral.

SUPPORT

Provide support to overdose survivors, families, and friends

ASSESSMENT

Provide a professional assessment and linkage to appropriate level of care.

SUPPORT

Assist clients on removing any barriers to treatment and/or recovery.

RESOURCES

Provide information about available community resources.

SUPPORT

All while keeping all information confidential.
